How Was the Foundation Born?
The Hopiness Foundation is a family initiative. Coming from Morocco, specifically the Middle Atlas region, we aspire to contribute to the development of an underdeveloped area. The spark for launching our projects came after encountering a local women’s association. They were raising funds to renovate the home of a young single mother with three children, which had been damaged by heavy rains. The family’s living conditions were already unhealthy before the storms, and these damages worsened their precarious situation. However, within a few weeks and thanks to the generosity of donors, the family was able to move into a comfortable home free from dampness and cold.
Through this experience, we realized, on one hand, the challenges that some families face and the vulnerabilities that result from them. On the other hand, we were struck by how easily their destinies could change if they received support.
